Shaking his head he took another grape. "Honestly, Foster...I don't know what you can do. A lot of the kids wont lie down for this. They are going to make it difficult. There are Professors that wont either." He wasn't going to mention he was one of them...but that pretty much went without saying.
When Foster brought up Kalen, a slow smile crossed his lips. He looked up at the picture of the two of them in Greece on his mantle, and back to Foster. "Well, Kalen can become quite," he had to think of a good way to put this, "green when it comes to me, especially when he thinks someone is flirting." Foster had been particularly nice to him in a way that seemed flirtatious at the feast and well...the Slytherin in Kalen decided to make it's way out. "He's more than just a friend." Tristan made a pointed glance at Forster and hoped he understood what he meant, but it would be difficult not to. The smile on his face said everything.
Foster put his hand to his forehead and rubbed his fingers back and forth. It was all so much to take in.
"I really can't imagine what you all must be feeling right now." He had never been in such a situation before and once again felt out of place. Those poor students as well. He was struggling trying to figure it all out as an adult, they were far too young to be dealing with it.
His eyes followed Tristan's glace to the mantle and noticed the picture of the two professors.
"Oh, I do apologize if I upset him. I had no intentions other than simply getting to know you better." He did not need another enemy or battle on his hands.
"You two do make a lovely couple." He smiled at the joy and love on Tristan's face. It was certainly a welcomed happiness in the chaos of the year.
He sat his plate on the table and stood up.
"I really must be going. Thank you so much for meeting with me and giving me a second chance." It was going to be a long year and he needed to know he was fighting for the right side.
