The Added newcomer of Jó was still an anomaly for Mark, he had never really interacted with this Gryffindor as much as he did Lucas, and he knew Lucas from before Hogwarts so there was a level of comfort with him. His tone of voice wasn't meant as a level of distrust and hate, but was a hopefully an indicator he doesn't take lightly his hobbies being called boring and sad.
"I mean...Yeah it always is better to play with someone else, definitely. But there will be times where you won't too. So you gotta make due." Mark wasn't too sure about his joking ability. Mostly when one laughed it was because of something silly he had unintentionally done.
"Oh, that's Not a problem at all!" he gleamed with excitement in his voice. It was always a pleasure to teach a newbie how to play Wizard's Chess. "I promise to go easy on you both If you want to play" His response directed toward Jó and Lucas.
