Hanna watched as Maddie cast the freezing charm, which seemed more powerful than hers. But not getting discouraged at that, because Maddie also had a whole year of experience that Hanna didn't have. "Did you want me to start treating you?" Hanna didn't mind going first if Maddie didn't want to.

She went to get a bandage, having no prior knowledge of brands. So it wasn't until she saw the packaging that she realised ACE was a brand, and not some other special kind of bandage. She pulled it from the packaging, and putting the wrappings aside to dispose of properly later. Undid the stretchy claw things and unwrapped it ever so slightly just to see how stretchy it was. Neat!

However, compression was the third component, not the first. Or... second, really. First it was Ice. "How should I get the ice to your... limb?" Hanna had a quick think before deciding that the frozen grass and dirt might suffice. It wouldn't be putting earth onto Maddie at all, because she had a bandage wrapper! Even though it was small, she figured it would do the job. "Glacius," she said, pointing her wand at a small pile of dirt and grass she had roughed up a little. She held the wand pointed there until it was all nice and frozen, then she put it into the wrapper. Not enough to make it a tight sausage, but enough to be flexible to curve around limbs. "Here!" It wasn't quite a bag of frozen peas, but it was as close as she could think of. "What limb did you hurt?"
Giggle. They were so silly. Madison was excited to try the spell out on the fudge though. "I can't either, but we can see what else we could freeze." Some things would probably work better than others, so maybe they could experiment with it... That could prove to be pretty fun. But for the moment, they needed to focus on the activity at hand; they both had injuries that needed to be healed!

The basic practice down, they were ready to get started. "Sure." Madison was okay with things either way, and had no problem with Hanna play Healer first. She watched as the other girl wandered off to get a bandage, and in the meantime sat comfortably. In a way she was STILL getting the resting part in even if the professor said that they wouldn't be doing that. Well, she was sitting down, so it still applied.

Hanna had a good question about the freezing part, since obviously the ice couldn't be applied directly to her skin - that would only lead to an ice burn, and they did NOT want that to happen. "Good thinking," Madison added as her friend set about using frozen grass and dirt instead, placing it into the bandage wrapper. She thought for a moment. "I injured my right wrist." She was right-handed, and thought it would be interesting to have that one all wrapped up. Since as had been mentioned before, sometimes you did end up being unable to use your dominant arm/hand. A leg was out of the question, because she didn't like to think about not being able to walk properly, even if it was for an activity.

Patiently she waited for Hanna to treat her arm.
