| Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight It had very quickly become clear to Abra that they were not likely to be getting up in the air anytime soon, if at all. For that very reason, his mind started to wander, enough that he was soon tuning in and out to what Baldvinsson was saying. Also? He was oblivious to the effect his actions - or non-actions - had had on a certain Hufflepuff, which was lucky, as he would likely have ended up in too much of an angsty state to really focus on anything else at all. Not... that he was doing such a great job of focusing so far.
Standing there, mind somewhere else entirely, his eyes slightly glazed over, it just so happened that Abra managed to miss most of the instructions that had been given. He was, therefore, slightly alarmed when people began moving around and getting started with... something. Uh. Uhhhhhhhhhh...
Glancing around at others nearby, Abra tried to surreptitiously copy what they were doing get a rough idea of what to do, whilst sort of shuffling around and trying to look busy. The last thing he wanted was for Noble, in particular, to realise he hadn't been properly paying attention. Some people were using Glacius, which now he thought about it, probably had something to do with what Baldvinsson had said about icing an injury. Others were collecting bandages from the ground at the front of the class, and starting to wrap up limbs, so Abra quickly went to grab one for himself. A bandage, not a limb.
But, uh... did he really have to do the ice spell? It was cold enough out here as it was, and Abra was not at all prepared to start deliberately casting Glacius at himself. He could cast the spell though, and, just to say he'd done it, took out his wand and pointed it at nothing in particular. "Glacius." There. That absolutely counted as... whatever it was they were meant to be doing. Ahem.
Now then, the bandage. Cancelling the spell, Abra stowed his wand away again, unwrapped the bandage, took hold of one end and...... accidentally sent the rest of it tumbling to the ground, unravelling as it went. Uhhhhhh. Nobody look at that.
Okay, so, he was going to wrap up his wrist, just because it was right THERE. After tugging up the sleeve on his right arm, Abra held the end of the bandage in his hand and began winding and wrapping it around his hand and wrist with his left. He tried to be as neat as possible with it, but it was more wrinkled and messy than he would have liked, and there was definitely a little grass from the pitch getting all caught up in it. Also, he had caught what Noble had said at the end there, but didn't really know what qualified as 'snug, but not too tight', so he was maybe wrapping the bandage a little bit tighter than necessary. Quite tight, actually. Tight enough that his fingers on that hand started to look a bit different to normal and feel a little too cold, before he was even done.
Was that meant to happen? Did that mean it was working, or did it mean he was doing something wrong? "Uhhhhhhhhh..."
Wasn't there a spell for putting on bandages? There was one for making splints. Surely it would make this whole thing a lot easier.
