Calvin took the parchment and returned his glasses to their previous position on his face. He skimmed the words, deciding he wouldn’t nitpick unnecessarily but he kept his eyes peeled for anything that may have caused him any sort of grief when reading later. Once or twice he crossed out a sentence or a word with his own quill but it wasn’t quite the massacre the boy may or may not have been expecting.

The quill came to a stop at the boy’s question. He paused, eyeing him up and down in an attempt to figure out whether this about about to be some clever jab that would earn the boy detention before attempting an answer.

“I’m not, no. The sight was never something that I inherited.” There was another pause while he looked the boy over.

“Is that going to be a problem, Mr. Choi?”
