Fascinated though he was by the swamp, Jó hadn't bothered to do any research on it and its reasons for being. For all he knew, it was just PART OF THE CASTLE and the strict Headmaster had roped it off as part of his new rules. Even if Józef hadn't experience Hogwarts before this year, from eavesdropping overhearing older students conversations, to the things his cousins had told him, this seemed exactly like something the new guy would do.
He was about to take his first tentative step into the mud when something hit the back of his head. Clamping a hand to the spot as more things started hitting him, it was as Józef turned to see WHAT they were that the poltergeist started yelling.
EYEROLL.
HONESTLY. "Snitch," he managed with a snarl that was part annoyance at the shouting and part disgust at the realisation that he'd been hit with spitballs. GROSS. His scowl only deepened when the prefect rounded the corner - a clear downgrade from the last Slytherin prefect and started LECTURING HIM. He wasn't STUPID, he knew what the rope meant.
He just didn't care. And he was about to say as much when Peeves was cannonballing into the muddy waters and....
Jó was soaked. Dripping with swamp.
