| catchup ftw :P (nonverbal pre-lesson/discussion, then parts 1 and 2) Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Computers weren’t entirely unfamiliar to Stasya, although as she thought about it, most of her experience with them had really only been knowing they were in here when she’d come to watch movies with Koen. It was kind of disconcerting, but then also not because this wasn’t CoMC. Therefore she didn’t feel quite as bad about not knowing a lot, and at least she’d known what it was. Plus, she’d sensed the awkwardness from Lucas before the lesson had begun, and it had made her concerned that something was wrong. Even beyond the fact she’d gotten a practically coded message from Derf, to which she’d replied with a nod before everything else had happened and the lesson had begun. Meaning, she’d tried to stay quiet as answers had been called out around her. Internet was a word she’d heard of, although all the other terms were kind of new and therefore intriguing.
Part of her wondered if they could use the internet to help with more Animagus research, narrowing things down before they actually tried to accomplish the task. Except, she wasn’t really sure leaving a trail behind counted as secret and she still felt like their little group was fairly secret. Entirely Gryffindor, at least, which helped with hopefully keeping it away from the notice of staff members she’d rather not deal with more than she had to. She had enough paranoia already about the prefect notebooks.
The activity, at least, seemed pretty easy. Finding the button they’d been told about hadn’t been too hard, yet she’d still found herself idly chewing her lower lip as she waited for the computer to boot up. It seemed like it was taking an awfully long time, which meant she’d started wondering if there was magic sabotage going on somehow. It wasn’t secret that the headmaster and the Divination professor didn’t get along with Professor Stewart, and playing on computers didn’t really fit with the rest of their agenda. Not as far as she could figure out, although she hadn’t really figured out what their goal was aside from making Hogwarts as unlikable as possible.
The explanation of the next step had derailed her tangent, though. Mouses? There were mouses? She’d begun looking for cute little furry creatures, moment before she realized they weren’t talking about the creatures. The little plastic thing didn’t even look like a mouse, but she still poked it with a finger before watching the little arrow zoom around the picture on the monitor before she let it land on the colorful circle and double clicked on it with the not-a-real-mouse. Debate over the name of computer parts nonetheless, she blinked at the white screen that appeared with the word Google splashed across it. So far she was following along fairly well?
