That was.... rude. Very rude.
Lucas let out another whimper and looked down, finding that concentrating on the ground and his feet was a lot easier than looking at this man. Did he want an answer? Or.... was it a question that he wasn't expecting an answer for? Lucas didn't know. He didn't know about anything in here. All he knew was that right now, he just wanted to be as far away from this lesson and this man as possible.
He just shook his head because uh, answering out of turn might make the man do something bad. Like ask for another 25 pushups. And his arms and legs were still feeling sore from before so he was kind of meeting him halfway. Yeah. Halfway.
When he started talking about pyromancy and what it is and all of that, Lucas reached into his bag and pulled out his notebook and a quill. Taking notes would give him something to do, yeah? Yeah. His notes were sloppy and messy because his hand was shaking but that was okay. It was a lesson still and he wanted to learn about the magic and the fire and what he was here to learn.
It was okay.
And he'd have Emma!cuddles later. He hoped.
But then the Professor man was asking another question and it left him stumped. What did he know about the fire magic? Nothing. Not really. He was here to learn this stuff and if he knew this stuff already, he couldn't need to be here, right? But he couldn't stay silent because he was sure the Professor man would make another rude comment about it - or worse - and he didn't want that.
He looked up, his eyes on the fire in front of him, and it took him a long time to come up with something but he did have an answer. He did! So he slowly raised his hand up in the air, still not looking at the Professor man. "Uh, well, some people like to burn things in the fire. And then they get..... symbols..... from the way the object burns, I guess. And that's how they get their answers....." His voice trailed off when he slowly came to realise how dumb his answer sounded. But it was still an answer, right?
