Just when she thought the shock of this man's methodology was beginning to wear off, Jessa found her eyes widening. Still, she would not speak out of turn. The Ravenclaw shot her friend a sympathetic look as she finally sat but tried not to think too much about the turn this lesson had steadily been taking. Nope nope nope. For a brief moment, Jessa mentally went over all the rules again, trying to make sure she didn't cross any. Not wanting to be stuck staring at the man while he spoke, Jessa took out her parchment and quill and began scribbling the things she for the most part already knew. Avoiding his gaze was now one of her priorities.
