Finally up in the air, Abra took a moment to really relish the feeling of flying, like he did approximately every single time he rode his broom. Rather than take every single lap at speed, he decided to use his first one to warm up and get into the rhythm of flying again, so he flew moderately quickly, way up high - level with the top of the stands - so as to space himself apart from the others and avoid any collisions. By the end of his first lap he was more than ready to speed up, and so as he passed his starting point he did exactly that.

Putting on a sudden burst of speed, Abra shot down towards the other end of the pitch before pulling back to brake suddenly and swerve around the hoops. It was his favourite way of doing high speed turns and he'd managed to perfect his method rather well over the last few years. Once around the tight bend, he sped back up again and flew around the hoops at the opposite end, then completed his second lap.

For his third and fourth laps, Abra opted out of his special controlled turns and instead kept going at high speed as he rounded the hoops at each end of the pitch, each time getting so close to the stands around the outside of the pitch he could have sworn he felt his robes flapping against them. For the last lap, he slowed down a bit, and moved up and down slightly as he flew, moving through the air like a dolphin diving in and out of the ocean, still flying high enough that the risk of crashing into anyone else was minimal. He liked to give the laps a bit of variety, seeing as this was technically a warm-up and he'd be likely to do all sorts of ducking and weaving for his actual tryout.

When his final lap was finished Abra slowed right down and returned to where they had all been standing earlier. He didn't feel much like dismounting and returning to the ground just yet, so simply hovered a few feet from the ground and waited for their next set of instructions.
