He was running late! Of all days, whyyyyyyyy??? Charlie did his best to quicken his pace despite taking TWO morning exercises already. He'd been up super early that Saturday because he was excited about the tryouts and that he forgot that S.O.R.E was a thing now. SO, after taking the mandatory lapses every morning, Charlie gave himself a break and fell into a very short nap in his dorm. By the time he woke up, he was 10 minutes away from missing the highlight of this day.
Dressed in his Quidditch jersey from the last term bearing the number 1 on his back, Charlie-- with a bit of buttered toast hanging from his mouth, he ran towards the pitch with his trusty old rehashed Starsweeper XXIs. He picked up the last bit of information from the kid who spoke, and figured they were already doing introductions. Too bad he didn't get to hear what the others before him had to say. "Heeey, we got a good one right here, eh?" he said patting the shoulder of the kid who introduced himself as Callum, and gave Bel a nod. "Everyone, I'm Charlie. Played Chaser for the team last term, and prior to that, I was a reserve player for my team in Ilvermorny too. I'm more of a Quodpot player actually until I made it to the team last year." he said giving them an exaggerated shrug. "Tried joining the U17s last summer too but didn't make it." Anna made it to the team though, and she was good. "I'll give it a go again though. But first...OWLs." Charlie stuck his tongue out and made room for more Hufflepuffs to introduce themselves.
And while the rest of the hopefuls talked, Charlie sidled up next to Derf. "You and I need to talk after this..." he said giving him a nudge on his side.
So...when are they gonna start? This one's ready to fly!
