It was a weird time of the day to have a lesson, wasn’t it? Or maybe that’s just how things worked at Hogwarts with all the magic. Maybe evening lessons were normal and he was just...... not used to it because they didn’t have those in St. Woboldo’s.

Still. It was weird.

Lucas walked down the grounds, following the illuminated path. It wasn’t a lesson he was looking forward to, even if it was one he was curious about, but the bluebell flames did cause a cheeky smile to spread across his face. Look at them! This is what you call magical! Maybe they could just have a lesson on this instead of whatever it was the Professor had in mind.

But it turned out that what the Professor has in mind was...... a bonfire????? Well, that’s what Lucas was getting from the huge bonfire that was sitting by the lake and by the, uh, place where the lesson was taking place, it looked like. There was a line, too. Or a ring, to better put it. And the Professor, just standing there.

He walked the last bit to the general area, all the while mentally practising exactly how he was going to greet this new man he didn’t really know and wasn’t sure if he was nice or not. "Hello, Professor," he ended up saying in a quiet voice. Oh and hey! Was that Prefect Abra? He was definitely nice, Lucas knew that by now. It might be because of this that the Gryffindor Prefect received a much more enthusiastic response from the first year, complete with a small wave. "Hey, Abra!" Hello. Hi.

And there was another girl (Jessa) too but seeing as Lucas had no idea who she was, he didn’t really say anything. There was a slightly sheepish smile on his face because she looked like the very important type who shouldn’t be disturbed and he didn’t want to do the disturbing.

Right. Seats. He looked down at the nearest log and, using the light from the bonfire, read two words on there. A name. Not his name, either. Frowning slightly, he shuffled around the bonfire, trying to find a ‘Lucas Dakest’ written anywhere. It wasn’t until he was right around the bonfire that he spotted the name and he......

........ stood. Right there. In front of the log.

Uh. It was what Prefect Abra was doing sooo...
