Tessa was actually, surprisingly, REALLY nervous about trying out for Gryffindor's Quidditch team. And she didn't usually get nervous about things. Usually, she just did things without giving too much thought to how they would go.
But not right now.
She joined the other Gryffindors who were trying out, forcing a grin to stay on her face even though her stomach was churning. "Hi," was all she managed to say. C'mon, Tessa, she thought, you're FIERCE and you know it! She tried to shake off her nerves. She wasn't going to think about the fact that all she had was a school broom and a dream, and very little experience. Nope. She wasn't thinking about that at all. In her nervous state, she hadn't even noticed Beau's odd fashion choice.
Maybe if she moved around on the spot a bit, she would feel more relaxed??? Being still wasn't something Tessa was very good at. |
