He did try to keep up with Beth's questions and wondered what they'd do during the class, but the girl soon announced that he needed a new nickname, and that... he reminded her of one of her aunts...

"What's wrong with Dusty?" he muttered just as professor Wishart got ready to begin the class. He was glad, because he could stop thinking about the names Beth would come up with and instead focus on the class.
As for things about the venomous tentacula? He raised his hand. "Venomous tentacula juice can make your skin purple," which, if it weren't for the whole poisonous thing, would've been quite awesome.
