Now THIS was how you got a head start on your day. Calvin had been up before the announcement, not ever having been one to sleep in but it was still refreshing. As was the early morning air. Ahhhhh, just smell it. Fresh. Crisp. A real waker upper. Pity the whole day couldn’t be like this.

The man got up from his meditation and made his way out to the pitch. He’d already known more or less that this would be happening and was dressed for the occasion.

“Good morning, all.” If you didn’t know any better, you’d almost think the man was in a chipper mood. What could he say? It did his heart some good to see so many of the students already present and ready for the morning exercise—even if they weren’t really ready—and seeing a few more heading over on his way down was equally uplifting.

There was no need to resist the order. This was how it was meant to be and it pleased him to know that at the very least they could follow the instructions given to them.

The Divination Professor settled somewhere near Scrimgeour, not at all engaging his colleagues. He wasn’t trying to be rude, but he had nothing he wanted to say to them and didn’t think there was need for forced conversation.
