Ryder started, sitting bolt up in bed and tense as all get out. As much as he was used to be woken up early at home, he did not appreciated whatever loud business this was so early in the morning that was causing him a mini heart-attack. Nor did he take the new headmaster's words to heart the night before, deciding to fall back to his bed and curl under his sheets.
