It didn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that Jessa wasn’t in the least bit happy about their being a new herbology Professor. It meant having to formally meet the new man and go over a few things that needed tended. Her experiments would not die just because Myers changed jobs. For now, she would attend the lesson and try not to seem as unenthused as she actually felt about this school year in general.
“Good morning, Professor.” She greeted, no particular spark in her tone. The sight of the plant they’d be working on got just a raise of her brow.
She’d been allowed to work with one for the sake of her experiments so there was no real “awe” anymore but there was a bit of skepticism. As of Scrimgeour, Hogwarts was supposedly meant to be adapting safer practices and overall keeping the students safe, and yet these deadly plants were sitting out in the open for the next Gryffindor—or Ravenclaw, let’s be honest—to come along and do something il advised.
Seemed a little counterintuitive to the Headmaster’s plans if you asked her but she only had this one year left and had decided it was none of her business. She wouldn’t be killed by the plant and supposed that was good enough for her.
Blue eyes fixed curiously on the man at his latter announcement, just before uttering her most used cuss word. Deadly plants and permission to swear. This was shaping up to be an....interesting lesson. Whether for better or worse was yet to be seen. “Have the plants been devenomed?” It was the only thing she could think of as no real precautions were given. The man must’ve known these things were safe, which frankly made them rather boring.
