No, no she could not. She got a look though; Alastair definitely gave her a look. It wasn't so much that she was beaming and chipper as it was that she was beaming and chipper while he was still in an almighty sulk over the sorting hat sending him off without him able to get a single thought-word in edgewise.

"Is it? I doubt that." Nice to meet him, that was. At least he got points for knowing himself? "The train ride was long and the boat ride was wet and the sorting hat is rude and I'm hungry."

There may have been grumbles coming from both his mouth and his stomach at this point in time...
