Noticing the girl's hesitancy, Chloe continued to try to maintain a calm front. "Did you just graduate?" She looked fairly young. But then again, who was she to judge? She literally applied the Winter after she graduated, at only eighteen. Merlin that seemed like an eternity ago.
Well that was a positive greeting! Helped a bit in the nerves department if she admitted nervousness to herself in the first place.
“Nice to meet you, Chloe,” she said before adding,
“Cassie works too.” The former Gryffindor didn’t much use her first name but officialdom seemed to always revert back to it so she was used to both. As for portkeys…
“I think that means we’re working together.”
Hadn’t the paperwork said something about portkey division after all?
“Actually last year,” Cassie remarked, registering that the newest bunch of Hogwarts graduates had just wrapped up. And the fact that obviously she looked young for jumping into the Ministry. She couldn’t help that no matter how hard she may have tried.
“Decided to start WU first to settle in and try to get a better feel of the direction I wanted to go.” So…not totally new to the whole field. Not that charms, the area that created portkeys, wasn’t her best subject.
