Anna smiled and waved as more people joined their table, including Rylee, even though she had pretty much just spoken to the girl during their train ride there. The ginger third year got a double thumbs up and a beamy grin in reference to their Quidditch talk because that was TOTALLY happening. Everything they discussed, yes!
She looked at Chase as he called her name. "Thanks!! Welcome back to you too! I hope you had a good rest of summer." She sent him her cheeky grin before bouncing on her seat at his next comment. "GOOD, because you SHOULD!" Try out, that was. "EVERYBODY SHOULD TRY OUT!" She added, talking pretty much to the whole table of lions. And actually yes, that included you too, Beau. NOT that she was going to necessarily point that out right at that moment because she wasn't there to cause a fuss not that type of fuss, at least.
"Look at him!" The fourth year replied to Abra and now Chase too as he joined the conversation, eyes still on professor Marchand. "He looks like... he's... been..." Anna trailed off because she felt whatever comment she made could be kind of upsetting given the end of last term's events. "I mean, he looks... ill." There, that wasn't too bad a description.
The girl stood up and burst into applause and much shouting and cheering each time a little first year was sorted only into the BEST HOUSE EVER - aka Gryffindor, for those who weren't sure - and she couldn't help but notice the boy from the prefects' compartment was one of them now! That fact made her LAUGH OUT LOUD as she clapped her hands. What a way to start his time at Hogwarts!! "WELCOME TO GRYFFINDOR!! I HOPE YOU TRY OUT FOR QUIDDITCH!" She repeatedly said as new faces joined them. The fact they were getting quite a good number of newcomers that term made Anna super happy!
One of the times she was about to sit back down after welcoming a new lion cub, she was almost startled by a certain Slytherin Captain who decided to join them. "Hey!" She exclaimed, putting her arm around his shoulder and giving it a little squeeze as she was still standing up while he was sat down. Tall much!? "I see you've decided to come and join the party!" Anna's cheeky grin gave way to her laugh as she finally sat down. Not that she had been watching the snake table at all, really. She didn't know whether they seemed to be celebrating or not. |
