Lex was relieved as the Slytherin girl invited her onto the carriage. She climbed into it, glad to escape the rain that was pouring down.
"I'm Alexis Stone... everyone calls me Lex. Nice to properly meet you, Beth." She smiled at the girl before continuing, "I'm a Hufflepuff... but I guess you knew that already." She giggled.
Lex peered outside, keeping an eye out for anyone else who was looking for a carriage.
"I hope this rain calms down," she said to Beth, pulling the hood of her robes off, as she didn't need it inside the carriage. "Ah.... look at my hair," she said, as she revealed a frizzy blonde mess. "It always gets like this when there's rain."
But she didn't figure that Beth wanted to talk about hair. She changed the subject: "I wonder what's pulling these carriages?" She asked. "Or maybe they can just move on their own. I suppose that wouldn't be too crazy." She gazed out at the rest of the carriages thoughtfully. |
