”I’M GRABBING THAT ONE IF ANYONE WANTS TO JOIN ME” the blonde practically yelled as she took a few dramatic and bouncy steps forward. ”really, anyone can join me. Anyone.” why did that sound like a dare? It wasn’t like she was going to bite anyone – she was friendly. Very friendly, the friendliest even.

They had reached Hogwarts! Lex was excited to start her second year. She pulled her robes over her head, to cover her long golden hair, which she didn't want to get wet, or else it would frizz out of control. Last year, she had taken a boat to the castle. This year, she was to take a carriage! She'd heard about these carriages before, and she was excited to see them in action.

As Lex approached the carriages, she noticed that she was among the first few people there. There was only one other student who had reached a carriage, and she seemed to be about Lex's age. Just then, the girl called out for other people to join her carriage. Well, surely Lex could join? She walked speedily towards the carriages, hopping over puddles and mud, eager to get out of the rain.

"Er, hello," she said to the girl once she was close enough to her carriage, "D'you mind if I join you?"
