And hey, who knows, maybe it would be her thing, like dancing was Runa's!
But for that, she needed just the right broom. Which was exactly the issue. Why did they make so many brooms? How was a girl supposed to pick the right broom when there was so many? Dizzy glared annoyed at the aisles of endless of broom, as if willing them to be fewer, and...
OH! She knew how to pick the right broom! Dizzy glanced around, making sure no adult was in visible, and opened her messenger bag. It was empty, save for one pitch black kitten. "Okay, Solstice," Dizzy whispered, removing the kitten from the bag. "Find me a broom!" Afterall, Solstice was going to need to like the broom too, because he would be riding on it with her. Well, not during practice or matches, of course, but any other time.
She set the kitten down on the ground. "And go!" Solstice just sat there, licking his paws to clean himself, and the mewed and rubbed affectionately against her leg. "I love you too, but we're here for brooms and I need you to do better." Nettie was SUPER excited to FINALLY get her own broom. She had always had to borrow one of Jimmy's old brooms for her youth league, and last year she had been forced to use the school brooms. She loved Hogwarts, but that was such a DUMB rule. Since her birthday was in September, she'd convinced her parents to let her pick out her birthday gift early - and naturally, she was going to pick a broom.
Heading straight for the displays, Nettie was suddenly overwhelmed. She'd done a ton of research to prepare for this, but now, faced with the actual prospect of picking out a broom - she was NOT READY. What if she made the wrong decision! Anxiously, she tapped her chin and her eyes flicked back and forth between the latest Nimbus model and the Firebolt. She'd been SOLD on the Nimbus but...what if she was WRONG?
Her attention was diverted, though, when she spotted a young girl nearby, probably about her age, and her cat. OOOH A CAT! She grinned and smiled at the girl. "I love your kitty!" she called out to her. Maybe she was doing this wrong. Maybe Rudy should have come with her to pick out a broom. Was that the trick to all this?!
