About to turn around and look for some backup, Olly suddenly heard something that distinctly was NOT a noise a plant made. Generally. A mumble of sorts. Was someone here? Taking a few careful steps into the greenhouse, her wand raised, Olly turned around to look where the sound had come from. Maybe she'd just-

"Griffin!" This was NOT how she'd planned for her day to go. Not at all. Why was she the only one here???? Should she send a quick note to Schuyler to make sure she WOULDN'T come in here?? Did she have- no, no she didn't have time for that right now. Instead, she pointed her wand at the door behind her to close it - making sure the plants at least didn't try to spread out more - then hurried over to where she could still see parts of Griffin's wheelchair.
Why were the vines acting like this? Had someone enchanted them? "Stop!" Yes, she was aware that they wouldn't listen to her but hopefully the spell she sent at them would at least stun them for long enough that she could get Griffin out of there. If the spell had no effect, she was going to have to start cutting off the vines. Which was something she REALLY did not want to do. |
