Ever since the end of finals and OWLs, Cameron had been in kind of a daze.
He'd survived them all.
(Yes, of course, there had also been that zombie apocalypse but EXAMS!)
He'd survived everything this term.
And while he was happy about all that, he was also somewhat wary of what was coming next. People talking about potentially not returning to Hogwarts after the inferi attack had made him feel a little off. Was that a possible outcome for him too? Would his parents want to pull him? For fear of finding out the answer to exactly that question, Cam had only written the bare minimum of letters home, adding the occasional "secret" extra one for his sister.
They wouldn't though, would they? It hadn't been THAT bad.

Fidgeting around with his fork, Cam absently looked down the Slytherin table. He should probably say goodbye to the ones leaving. Skylar for sure. He was going to miss her, especially during Quidditch practice. She'd done a good job in his opinion.
Okay, could they all just go home now? He was ready to get out of here, even if the future was uncertain regarding this place. |
