Even her Head of House, who was amazing, but a bit too jaunty for serious talk. On the other hand, it wasn't really fair to the professor for her to constantly burden her with her troubles.

Emmalyn took a deep breath and pushed forward to the chairs that sat just across from the desk and chair set up. She needed comfort, not formality, and the homey chairs put her more at ease.

"Thank you again for inviting me in." Her fingers fiddled with her bracelet as she spoke. "I was wondering if I could talk to you about how I'm doing at Hogwarts." She hoped it was okay and that she wouldn't be sent back to her Head of House.

Kay had stood back to let Lyn pass. "You're welcome.'' The slight hesitation of the Hufflepuff did not go unnoticed. This only made Kay frown. Lyn's demeanor was off and she would try to get to the bottom of it, however gently that could be done. The door was shut before the woman moved behind her desk, shrugging off the jumper as she went.

As she was settling into her own chair, Lyn spoke again. Ah, so this was an important topic. "Of course,'' came the gentle response. "Whatever you say in here stays between you and I unless you say otherwise. But I would like to know. Have you spoken with Professor Myers about this?'' Usually kiddos went to their Heads of Houses first.
