Skylar wondered if waiting until the last possible week to check out the Aurora Borealis was the best idea. While she had a whole week to see the phenomenon, she knew from her readings that it was best seen in the winter months and given that it was now Springtime, she may have missed the opportune time.

It wasn't really her fault; up until now she had actually forgotten about the assignment because of all the other things she had going on in her life. Personal and academic. She wanted to see the lights, but she was actually hoping to catch them one night with Apollo as a relaxing date night. That never happened. And then... well, yea, she didn't want to talk about it. Hands shoved into her coat pocket as she made her way across the grounds, it was still rather chilly and she just hoped it would be dark enough to see them. The igloo perhaps, because it was made to mimic the Norwegian climates where the Northern Lights were best visible.

Removing a blanket from her backpack, she laid it out one of the benches and lied down on her back. At first she thought maybe nothing, but then after maybe twenty minutes of lying there, the green and blue lights began to dance across the ceiling. The ceiling. Oh. She was an idiot. That wasn't a transparent ceiling was it?? Sitting up suddenly, she quickly went outside to gaze at the starlit skies and as predicted, nothing but twinkly white dots in the darkness. Which meant, what? Professor Baldvinnson had charmed the ceiling, perhaps with the same charm that Professor Kennedy had taught them to recreate a replica of the northern lights?

Heading back inside, the seventh year bit her lip and laid back down to watch the replica display for a bit longer, deciding if anything, it was soothing to her racing mind.
