After finally working up the courage to tell a professor what had happened at Hogsmeade, Emmalyn decided to go to the one she thought could help her the most. She walked straight to the door, completely oblivious to the dragon mural, lifted her left hand in a fist, and knocked two sharp knocks.

She took a step back and waited for Professor Hirsch to answer the door. She knew that moving further away would only weaken her resolve, so she just stood there and stared at the door.
