However, she was concerned about Patrick. "Do you get home sick very often?'' It could be difficult on anyone who felt home sick and she could thoroughly relate.
"Interesting. I've never had rhubarb pie. What does that taste like? I mean, is it really delicious?'' Which brought her to yet another question. "Do you bake pies on your own?'' It was out of curiosity. Kay rested her arms on the table. "I think my favourite would be cherry. Any opinion on cherry pie, Mr Dooley?''
He laughed a little,
"I wouldn't call it home sick, because my family is all here in Europe aside from my grandparents. But I miss my friends from the States a lot. They're a big part of my life during the summers." He thought back to this past summer. He got to play baseball with all of his friends from his first few years of school. He honestly wasn't too sure how much longer they would buy his boarding school excuse. Although he did up it to switzerland last time, but he wasn't sure that was going over well.
He hummed a bit as he thought over what it actually tasted like. It was sweet yet sour, there weren't many things in the magical world he knew by name that he could easily remember having that effect.
"It's almost a sweet yet sour, or tangy taste. Its very good with ice cream." He smiled brightly at the question of making pies, his grandma had taught him after they moved to the sates. She was one of the best,
"I typically help my grandma make them during the summers. Oh Cherry, they aren't bad but not enough berries to the liquid ratio as you get with apple." Although he wasn't sure any of that made any sort of sense the more he thought about it.
