He did not trust or even particularly like the Ministry, so of course he had to double-check that the whole treasure along with the tapestry was there for the students to see. The old man made his way there, on foot for once, with his winter boots leaving snowy marks on the stone floor. Once entering the chamber, he shuffled up to the tapestry at the end of the room and brushed some snow out of the red feathers on his head. He stopped at the first story panel, reached into his pocket to fish out some peanuts and frowned at the tapestry in front of him.

He had a little while before he had to resume his groundskeeping duties, which allowed him to linger with the bag of peanuts in front of the tapestry for a few more minutes. Honestly, it interested him. Not as much as soaring above white, snowy mountains in Iceland interested him but ya know, interesting enough to eat peanuts in front of.

Crunch, crunch.
So it looked like the history of magic professor was not the only one who got the idea that morning to get a look at Hogwarts's newest treasure. He didn't have to teach class until evening that day and he had already graded most everyone's homework. He was up for an early morning snack 9those house elves were as helpful as ever) and that was when he walked into the area where the story panels were being kept.

"Fascinating, isn't it?" he said loudly to announce his presence. "Who knows how long they sat in the Lake, neither untarnished by the ravage of nature nor sighted by human eyes." Did the merfolk see them? Hmmm. "It makes you wonder what other treasures and mysteries there might be right under our very noses."

He gazed at the story panels with an intense admiration.
