"I think as your confidence grows, your spellwork will improve. You are doing well thus far," Daisy said. When Emmalyn requested to be taught Arresto Momentum, Daisy nodded and replied with a, "I'll be happy to teach you."
She stood in front of Em and said, "Okay, first thing is the pronunciation of the spell. It is pronounced ah-REST-oh mo-MEN-tum. You try and then we'll do the wand movement. The wand movement is pretty simple but it is always good to master wand movement even if it's basic."
Her head nodded in agreement. She knew she needed to work on her confidence. If she could muster up even half of the confidence for spell work as she had in her quidditch abilities, she would vastly improve.
"Thanks!"
She listened to Daisy's pronunciation, letting the sounds roll over in her mind, before attempting it herself.
"Okay, here we go." She straightened her posture and held her chin up with command.
"AH-res-toe mo-men-TUM" She cleared her throat
"ah-REST-toh mo-MEN-tum" That sounded much more like Daisy had, but not quite right.
"ah-REST-oh mo-MEN-tum" that one.
"There, I think that last one was right. ah-REST-oh mo-MEN-tum!"
