As Maddie headed up to the first floor of the castle, she felt grateful that this lesson wouldn't be out in the freezing cold the way Charms class had been. Indoor classes were a welcome change, thank you very much. As she entered the classroom, she went to take a seat, but... Oh, right. DADA class. Mats it would be!

Spotting the notice on the board, she grabbed a pair of rubber gloves then headed to claim a mat. She didn't claim anything too close to the beds, because she had no idea who or what was underneath those black cloths. One just does not wander on up to a bed with an unknown occupant in the middle of Defense class.

Ahem. "Hello, Professor!" she said, her gaze traveling back and forth between the beds and the man in the front of the room.
