Upon hearing the girls question, Tinka stopped walking and turned to face Miss Lydia. "Tinka not know such things. Tinka is a good House-elf. Tinka do what she is told." She wasn't sure why age mattered to the studentsies. Tinka could clean when she was little and Tinka could clean when she was much older. Tinka would do her job and that was all that mattered.
With that, she turned and started walking further down the corridor, whisk still in hand, and noting that she would need to soon return and remove some cobwebs that had collected. Toddles must have been having more parties and neglecting his work again.
Lydia followed the little house elf down the corridor. She led the way with her whisk, which she found incredibly adorable.

Lydia almost ran right into a bunch of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Oops. She brushed some of them away with her hand. "
