Giving up, she leaned back in her chair and nodded. "Yes. I enjoy transfiguration the most by far." It helped as well that her wand consistently worked with her in transfiguration. "I like CoMC and divination. And potions and runes too, even though they can be quite challenging for me sometimes. I think I'll enjoy charms and defence against the dark arts more once I've bonded fully with my wand. It can be temperamental in those classes." As for the rest, she didn't particularly enjoy all that much, even if she did see the usefulness in them, like herbology.

And astronomy was, by far, her least favorite subject for several reasons, but Reese was trying to share what he loved about it with her, so she was still doing okay in it, overall.
While the Ravenclaw spoke, Regina was mentally taking notes. So Transfiguration was the best, followed by some go the more popular subjects in the school. She was slightly surprised by the mentioned of her own subject, however. Normally, unless there was a keen interest in it, Ancient Runes wasn't very high on many people's lists of favourites.

"Sometimes it is the more challenging classes that are . Provides you with that challenge and requires more of a drive to succeed in it," the headmistress commented. She didn't mention the lack of Astronomy being brought up. She had assumed as much, based on what she had been told.

"And how has Hogwarts been treating you, outside of classes?" she asked, moving into more personal terrain, as she moved the file away and tucked it into a drawer. She intentionally left the question open-ended. If she wanted to talk about professors she liked or friends she had made, the option was there. If she'd rather talk about the struggles of finding a quiet place for violin-playing, that was an option as well. Needless to say, the woman was interested in seeing how the first year would respond.
