A victim? Was Beth truly as bad of a cook as she claimed she was? Considering it for a brief moment, Daehyun nodded, deciding he would trust her this one time and put his health in her hands. Besides, he could always call in for a well-deserved favour in return if he did end up with indigestion or whatnot. If she was confident in brewing some potions as well, all the better - potions were a lot like cooking. Both basically needed to have a set of instructions followed carefully and ingredients measured perfectly. Maybe he would get through the day unscathed, after all. "Yeah," he said with a light laugh. "I'll be the lab rat for today."
For a second, he couldn't control his eyes from widening at the sight of the colourful thing she'd pulled out of the basket, but soon trained his features into a reassuring smile. "Cheese toast, huh... it's-errr-wow," he trailed off when Beth handed him one, and looked at it. Okay, he couldn't judge just how cooked it was by the toast's colour since she'd used so much food colouring, so he would have to trust Beth blindly.
He was about to bite into the toast, but stopped midway when she'd corrected him, only to burst into laughter. Nudging her shoulder lightly with his, he said, "Our astronomy assignment, silly." He then took a large bite, and- "Mmm, this is actually good, Beth!" And it was. Just as crunchy as it should be. Also a lot more colourful than it should be, but it was edible. But back to the aurora. He was reading through his textbook when what Beth had said put a smile on his face. "Well, you're in luck. It says here the green ones are at lower altitudes, so we're more likely to see green and blue." And he did love blue.
