| Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict The assurance that she’d identified the runes on the two objects she’d actually gotten around to identifying had lightened Stasya’s mood exponentially, considering she hadn’t been sure about them at all. Runes was still a subject she had to work at, after all, even if outwardly it was one of her better subjects. Plus, the whole topic of the lesson being Vikings and the lake treasure had piqued her curiosity. She was still tempted to write to her uncle, or maybe her aunts to see if they had any better information they could provide her, along with to find out if they’d heard about it. Obviously, if the professors had contacted people, the media probably knew about it too, but she didn’t know if her mama’s family read the Prophet. It would be interesting to find out. That and she wondered if Professor Baldvinsson was part of the investigative party.
However, none of that really fit with the lesson, even if she was tempted to ask the headmistress anyway. She could always do that after the lesson, after all. Instead, she focused on writing down the runes for the other three objects once they’d been listed on the blackboard, and she listened to the few responses that had been given before raising her hand. “I agree with Septimus about the penannular brooch, sort of. But Raidho doesn’t always have to mean a literal journey, right? So maybe the rune just represents that the wearer having the ability, like power and creativity, that leads to authority. Maybe whoever owned it was very successful. Also, does the fact it’s reversed have any effect on the power behind the rune?”
She still thought the penannular brooch looked like a frog face though.
