Well done. Quinn breathed a slightly shocked breath of relief. She had been sure she was going to be off on some, and a small well of pride blossomed in her chest.
But now came the harder part. Figuring out the reason and purpose of the bindrunes. She pulled her parchment closer and took a long few minutes looking over both. The Penannular brooch was wealth, or power or coming into it soon, along a journey or career with wisdom or a mentor guiding them.
Or maybe it was for the mentor to become wealthy? Or maybe the creator was just a big fan of the Hobbit. Journey, treasure and Gandalf as a mentor?
There just seemed to be too many possibilities for the brooch. Quinn turned instead to the Arm Ring instead. That seemed like it'd be easier. It was an arm ring with a rune for strength, and the arm being the strength of a fighter. So physical strength, and the others were protection both offensive and defensive and the safety and security of home and family.
"Professor? Could the arm ring be to have the physical strength to protect one's home and family?"
