Max did his best not to freak out when the headmistress stopped by to give him a couple of pointers. The pointers were very much appreciated but eeeeep she made him nervous. "Thank you ma'am," the fifth year muttered shyly before turning his attention back to the hingestrap and pendant.

It took him a little while to figure out and all the runes were making his head feel sore and fuzzy.... but he reckoned he'd cracked it.

He scurried back to his desk to jot it all down.
