She stood there awkwardly a moment, staring up the stairs. "Em...Thanks." She gave the gargoyle a quick nod and started up the stairs. The door was already open, and the Headmistress had full view of her, so Quinn didn't feel knocking to announce her presence was necessary, and stepped into the office.
If she were the type, she might have gasped. As it was her eyes didn't know what to take in first and it was a few seconds before she stepped casually over to the books, examining them without touching. And then the artifacts and objects in their glass cases, which she actually lingered on slightly longer than the books. Which spoke volumes about how interesting the objects were.
She honestly would have spent longer examining them with her eyes, but well, there was this whole meeting thing scheduled. Quinn reluctantly made her way to the Headmistress' desk and took a seat, eyes examining the photos briefly before, first looking over her shoulder back to the display cabinet, and then finally resting on the Headmistress. "Hi. You wanted to speak to me about...things?" She had an idea of what those things were, or could be. Everything with her parents, the letter, and now the Moons; the astronomy lesson; maybe even that tall-tale she told during summer (hopefully not), but Quinn wasn't going to bring them up. She'd wait for the Headmistress to do that. There was no need at all for Quinn to announce her presence. The girls' footsteps in a rather quiet office, even with the talking portraits, were heard. Her eyes glanced over to the Ravenclaw, who was casually looking through her personal belongings, and they quickly returned to the file on her desk. She continued reading, flipping through papers and other notes, until the girl was seated in front of her.
Closing the file and placing her hands over it, Regina smiled. "Good afternoon, Miss Kevelle," she said, acting as if she hadn't heard the rest of what the girl had said. Yes, there were things that she wanted to discuss, but formalities were in order. Plus she was in no rush to dive right into things. "How were your classes today?"
Then, suddenly, she made a gesture to a plate that one of the house-elves had brought up earlier. "Biscuit?"
