Keeping with the need to not fall too behind with time, Jessa drew for her textbook once she'd identified the runes. It wasn't so much that she needed a refresher on their meanings but more that they were readily available in the book whereas for some of the less used ones, the Ravenclaw may have had to take a few moments' pause just to bring the meanings back to the front of her mind.

Not thanks.

She wanted to get to the part where they uncovered what the rune was for as soon as possible. It was obvious this wouldn't be a possibility if she was still wracking her brain for rune meanings while everyone else had moved on...so yes....for very practical reasons, having her textbook out for the lesson just made more sense.

Jessa diligently turned the pages of her book, already knowing where to go depending on the rune she was looking for. While she worked, she tuned out the class around her--a common practice when she decided she didn't need to be distracted by senseless things.

Her classmates....had a habit....of producing senseless interruptions. The years had taught her that. The Ravenclaw's best defense was not paying attention. If she remained oblivious then she would not be distracted.

And so she worked away at the meanings, practically breezing through this part too. It was basic recitation for now.
