Despite still not being able to produce a proper ribbon of light, all in all this had been a successful lesson for the Hufflepuff. Most of the scientific babble had sorta just gone in one ear and out the other, but he was inspired to go back to the library and look through some mythology books about these things. Maybe he could figure out a way to make things stick by connecting the scientific and the mythical together. Weave a story to help him study for his Astronomy OWL - which he didn't think he would perform particularly WELL on but he didn't want to fail either. He could get Stephanie to help him with this too.
Pocketing his wand, the fifth year GRINNED at his teammates and held his hand up for a GROUP HIGH FIVE! Because well done, you know!? "Great job everyone!" he praised as he hurried back over to his things. Throwing the librarian a quick wave, Derf hurried out of the classroom to begin the LONG trek back down to the Hufflepuff common room.
