Right away, Rylee hopped up onto her feet rather startled by the cat who she had forgot her professor had in her haste to come speak with him, and cradled in companion in her hands. "Sorry, Professor! I-.. I forgot about Phantom..." It was odd for her really but she was just so excited to speak with him that the thought of the cat had completely slipped her mind. "Sorry, Phantom.." she added quickly right as the cat was being placed back into the office before the door was shut. She hadn't meant to cause any trouble by bringing Neptune along but really he was needed here for as he was part of what she wanted to ask about.
"Not at all, Professor. I won't take up much of your time. I was only hoping you could help me with some charms that might last a bit longer than the ones I currently know now?"
From the moment Gaston closed the office door behind him, he could hear Phantom scratching and meowing on the other side. Poor cat! He would have to give her some fish and lots of petting later to make it up to her.
Sorry, Phantom, he thought, glancing apologetically back st the door, but he couldn't have her attacking someone else's pet.
He eyed Rylee with concern.
"She didn't scare you, did she?" he asked.
"Or your rat?" He didn't want the poor creature's heart to give out from fright! He laughed a little at what was said next.
"It's alright... just don't let Phantom hear you forgot about her." His voice dropped as he added,
"She likes to think the world revolves around her." As if on cue, the feisty feline behind the door punctuated his comments with a disgruntled meow.
He smiled.
"Thank you for understanding." There was no way he could help Rylee with her charms if he was trying to stop a scene from a Tom and Jerry cartoon from playing out in his office!
"Of course. Take up as much of my time as you need." Phantom could just deal with it.
"What kind of spells did you want to use?" He'd need a bit more information to determine the best alternative.
