Had Ewan brought up the rouse Beth would have simply, and plainly, told him she had plaid no part in it. She had after all, only given reaction to the comments Quinn had said, her face had contorted this way and that but that, that alone was not playing along. No, that had been her own inner turmoil over how Quinn’s actual parents had been mistreating her best friend for the past eleven years.
