It took a while to find him a nickname? Has Beth been trying to find one?!
Sighing dejectedly, he knew there was no escaping it, and then there was Ewan who called him Dusty, as well... "I guess... it's better than D-Dog..." Anything was better than D-Dog. How had Ewan even thought about it? Also, what was wrong with Daniel that neither of them could use it? He had a feeling the only thing he could do would be to get used to it.
Also... why were they acting as though he'd moved a mountain?
... maybe because he'd done something of similar level of difficulty, considering it was him, and he hadn't hit any faces.
Then Beth was running and his eyes were widening with each stride she took towards him. He barely even caught the ball against his stomach before Beth's arms wrapped around him, and he could only stand there frozen in his stance. Turning so red that he would put a tomato to shame, he eventually laughed along. "You guys are ridiculous," he shook his head, grinning shyly as he was squished between the two.
He was still too petrified to return the hug, but it wasn't as though he could move anymore, anyway.
