Taking a deep breath now, he contorted his face into a smile. He didn't need to get angry now. Not at Beth. It wasn't her fault really. Okay, maybe a little but not as much. "Okay, let's just play some ball!".
Hesitating slightly, an annoyed look on his face, he looked at Daniel. "What, I can't give you a nickname? I mean, I thought D-Dog had some serious merit". His face was serious for a whole of 1 second before he broke down laughing. He knew that was a bad nickname but Daniel's expression was priceless.
He was about to get into the importance of learning to catch and throw properly with Beth when Daniel threw the ball... at him? Towards him? Wait... it actually went towards him and not into the Lake!! "Yeeeeeessss bro!!! You did iiiitttttt!!!".
Looking at Daniel now, he couldn't help but grin as wide as possible. And then... he began to chuckle as Beth tackles him for a hug. Laughing louder still, he ran over to join them, his arms wrapping around the both of them. He really was tall for his age. With very little efford, he gave a slight heave and pulled them up into a bearhug, laughing as he did so. "Well done dusty!!! We'll make a sportman of you yet!!!", a proud tone in his voice.
