Warm-ups were to avoid pulling muscles? Why were all of his hurting and his joints making weird sounds, then? It was uncomfortable, but he wasn't going to whine just yet - he had to man up. He even looked appropriately ashamed at Ewan's surprise that he'd never- yeah, better move on.
Standing up and straightening his sore back, he curiously looked over at what his friend pulled out of his backpack. It was oddly shaped for a ball... but he supposed its shape would help it propel easily through the air? Ah, what did he know... he only knew that before he could even think, the ball was thrown right at him. He let out a light "Ooof" as the ball collided with his stomach just a blink of an eye faster than his instincts had kicked in to catch it. Oooh, soft leather.
As he looked back at Ewan, he wondered if he was supposed to throw it back - yeah, he should throw it back. He tried to mimic the way Ewan had thrown the ball, but really, it just went flying nowhere near the Ravenclaw.
"Sorry," he muttered under his breath, his face slowly heating up. "Why does it look so easy when you do it..." So his aim was bad, okay. But he'd work on it.
