Now that he was more or less satisfied with his pumpkin, Daehyun would once again attempt to turn it to stone. It had been easy enough with the quill, even got it right on his first try, so he was confident. What would be different, anyway? It was just a larger object to turn, so it required more concentration, right?

... concentration happened to be his worst weakness. But he could do this. He's done it already.

Pointing his wand at the pumpkin that he'd worked so hard on to carve, he didn't pay that much attention to the movement as he traced the wand up, and curved it maybe a liiiiitle too much, and he miiiight have closed the D shape as he said, "Duro!"

Otherwise he couldn't explain how his pumpkin had turned to dust.

"What did I do, what did I do..." His eyes widened, he couldn't help but mumble incorrigibly under his breath, too stunned to clean up the pile of sandy dust or whatever it was. How in the world...
