"I'll continue to give my best but it's quite discouraging to see the way some would avoid my eyes or just point blank ignore me.'' Yet again, she silently cursed her trusting nature.
She listened and nodded slowly. "I'm trying to and I'll just go about doing things as usual.'' That would be the best option, would it not? Now Kay genuinely smiled, something that hadn't happened since the day Cami adopted Emmalyn officially. "Thanks, Laurel. At least you believe in me so that's all I need.'' Laurel and a few others, this is- Ansley, Cami, Rose, Gaston, River, Regina and Jordan. "I think I'd better get going. I need to finish unpacking. Are you heading back in now?'' Laurel hated seeing her best friend go through such a hard time right now with the aftermath of what the Williams twins had done to her. Sadly not all of the Hogwartians staff and students included could forgive and forget and see that Kay was a victim in all that had happened. Repeating her earlier statement Laurel murmured. "They'll come around. Just give them time and try not let the stares and everything get to you. You're strong." It was as clear as day to her that Kay had strength since she was there at Hogwarts and hadn't resigned.
Encouragingly she said "That's the spirit! Go about things as usual and plan for your lessons with the students that I know you enjoy." The other stuff would work itself out. She knew it even if she had tried not to scry too much for Kay's future. "You're most welcome Kay!" Laurel said with a slight smile. Shaking her head she continued. "No I think i'll stay out here for a bit longer. It's nice and quiet out here. Soon enough the whole castle will be full of chattering student voices."
