So far, she had relatively free reign with her experiments and intended to keep it that way so she'd go quiet on the matter and have the Professor believe that, for her, such a thing would be difficult and therefore a last resort. Duro in itself would be a last resort as there really were more effective ways of dealing with things so if she was going to use duro at all, she was gonna make it count for a whole hell of a lot.
The class was moving on and so was she. Already having more extensive notes on this particular subject matter, Jessa saw no real need to write things down. That being said, if she didn't write, she'd be left idle, drifting in and out of attentiveness while the woman droned on so writing it was. At the very least it would keep her occupied.
Killing two fwoopers with one stone, Jessa chose the largest pumpkin of the group. She levitated it over to her desk where she increased the size further.
Rather than use the cutting charm, the girl got herself a carving knife. This sort of thing always seemed better with an actual tool. Somewhere off in the class she did hear the call for help but it seemed another Hufflepuff would be taking care of it, leaving Jessa to carry on. The Ravenclaw jammed the blade into the pumpkin.
