Beth, Daniel, Lydia (Ewan too but Quinn greeted him on land so...) Fluttery Pegasi Quinn swam over to Beth, but still kept a slight distance from the group, watching them in her appraising way. She was particularly watching Daniel around Beth with interest. Perhaps he was starting to crush on Beth more than he apparently was crushing on her herself, according to Beth at least.
Oh and there was Lydia now too. Quinn gave her a slight nod, but still said nothing. Yes, she could talk like the others, but was still rather disinclined to do so.
And no, Beth. Quinn wasn't going to voluntarily touch anyone she wasn't super close or comfortable with, and as her best friend, Beth would know this. That desire for personal space and avoiding physical contact with other people was partially why she was floating a slight distance away from everyone.
Quinn watched silently as a group of others swam their way to seaweed. Why? It was just seaweed. The merpeople were much more fascinating to just watch than swimming in a forest of kelp. Briefly Quinn wondered if they could sense her wand had a core of a mermaid's hair. Freely given according to family lore to her grandmother and passed onto her as the core only seemed to want to respond to her after her grandmother died. It was half of her dual cores; the other half being a veela hair from a veela friend of Beth's family that seemed rather impressed by Beth and her over summer.
But, would the merpeople sense it?
